sea tow

i was on the chesapeake bay in md last week and noticed a boat being towed in by sea tow. seems like a good idea to maybe join up. any body ever heard of them? are they a good company? thanks ken

there is Sea Tow, and Tow Boat, research which has the best coverage where you regularly boat, some areas have poor coverage, from one company or the other. i use Sea Tow as they cover all of Florida. i also have their trailer tow service, AAA does not cover a trailer when there is a breakdown.

I use towboat U.S. I boat on the upper Chesapeake. There is 3 times more towboat U.S. providers on the chesapeake v.s sea tow, Also tow boat is cheaper and comes with a great trailer assistance plan. Sea-tow dominates in the southern states + west coast. This is my opinion.

The big thing is I would not go out on the big water without being a member of a water-towing service no-mater who it is.

P.S. make sure you get the unlimited towing plan it's worth it.
