Flashback,<br /><br />The way we use to do it on the rally cars was to run the engine at about 2000 revs (in neutral) and then pour about a litre (quart) of distilled water slowly down the carb throat. And yes, it's a steam clean for the combution chambers.<br /><br />Chris.............<br /><br />You could have trouble with an MPI because of the air volume sensor not measuring correctly while you have the air horn disconnected to get the water in, but in theory it would work the same.
