How often does one need to use seafoam in the fuel and do you also have to use 2 stroke oil with it??

My last boat was an I/O so a 2 stroke motor is new to me.

Re: Seafoam

I almost never use it, as I run WOT for a period of time every outing, and I do not have to endure a long idle time to get to the open water.
Some people use it all the time.

Yes you have to use 50 to 1 fuel oil ratio on all Force engines.

If you have carbon issues it will help loosing up with some deep creep.
The is a decarb topic at the top of the Force forum page.

Thats my 2c worth.

Good luck,

Mike

Re: Seafoam

My personal opinion is that you use seafoam as often as you want to rebuild your engine. Using today's TCW-3 outboard oil at the recommended 50-1 ratio, I consider it useless and possibly harmful. There! That should cause some controversy

Re: Seafoam

TCW-3 is the only engine oil recommended for Chrysler and Force engines. Any brand you wish to use. One pint added to six gallons of gasoline. actually 48-1. Find it in Wal-mart, K mart, Pep Boy's, NAPA, and other auto stores. If they are anywhere near the water, they will carry some brand.
