Sounds like people are taking my "dumping it in" too literally. Drizzling it from side to like I used to with fogging oil on my I/O seems to be the way to go. I am burning oil, 500 miles per qt even tho there is no smoke out the exhaust. I figured Foaming it may fix a possible ring issue. Although my compression is fantastic.... But, I don't want to hijack this Topic anymore than I have already....

ps. My O/B is a 4 stroke too, but isn't an oil burner.....

I use Seafoam in my Merc 90 4stroke carbureted engine on my pontoon about every 3rd tank or so. If I notice it running a bit off as in a small hic up like a miss on occasion while cruising. I will dump a can in the fuel tank and it normally clears right up before that tank is gone.

I have seen it work great in older engines that had sit up for a while as well. I buy it from a friend that works at a parts house. He sells it to me at his cost and that helps a lot on the wallet!
