Need to find a dimension to install driver Back-to-back lounge seat? I know the seat box are normally 14 X 36. What would be the dimension from steering wheel to front of seat box. Do not have any seats that are useable. I am planning on creating a wood scab for the Seat box to mount to, before I Gelcoat the floor.

You may just want to slide the seat around until it feels comfortable to you ..

Yup, that's what I did when positioning the rear chair for my tiller motor. When I upgrade to steering from the console I'll do the same thing again. Custom fitting! :joyous:

What if you don't have a seat and you need to go by a 14x36 area, don't have a lounge seat to go by.

You'll eventually need a seat, if you want to set up the scab correctly for whatever seat you plan to buy, probably ought to have that seat on hand before you mount the scab.

On some smaller runabouts, the base actually gets trimmed to fit against the hull below the gunwale, so the scab wouldnt match the full 14X36
