i was out yesterday and my boat motor was running fine but about 2 hours into my trip the motor started bogging down at 3500 rpms. could go up to 10 mph but no faster, would just stall out. i lifted the stearndrive out of the water only to find a little bit of seaweed tangled around the prop. i need to know if seaweed could bog it down like that or if im having carb problems. just unstuck float in carb 2 days ago.

well, ok, gotta ask... when you took the seaweed off, did the problem go away?

Re: seaweed or carb

I was in mooringarea when i untagled the prop and was honestly a little scared to go back out. i was on vacation and didnt know the area very well and mooring area is about 1/4 mile long. bad place to get stuck without knowing anybody and was in no wake zone. just trailered and left, havnt had time to get back on the water yet.
