Self code testing

I went to do some testing with my home made test kit and my test plug is not the same. Unsure which wires to probe lite and clip to?

That setup is for GM engines and ECM's not sure what you can do with the Fords. Never worked with them.

thx levinz, I actually went to parts store and rented a scanner that worked great. got a couple of codes the dang thing wouldnt retrieve for me then it wouldnt recognize my computer. ugh
