My boys boat has been a workhorse for him. Between fishing and hunting this 12 footer has not been babied. So now he has a camping spot and will need to keep his boat in the water or else he will lose the tie up. So the problem of rain in the boat without him being there is an issue. Don't know if this has been done before but we needed a self contained unit that can be pulled out.
So we decided to handle the situation this way.

#1 is the work horse
#2 is the battery box for our unit.
#3 shows the box with pump mount and leach holes drilled
#4 shows the battery sitting on 2x2 blocks with pump
#5 is our test in the tub.
#6 is the position in the boat. No fussing with batteries or wiring laying around.
Might give someone a few ideas.
Now for a under seat battery box for his elect. start Tohatsu and trolling motor. :joyous:

That was the whole idea. Don't want to play with unhooking wiring or pumps or multi pieces.
just take it out of the boat if necessary and head out. If someone was in trouble out on the water we could just hand this over and the sec they put it in the bottom of the boat it would start. Float is the only switch

Great idea. Install a carry strap and you'll be golden.
