I still wan't to purchase a 10 or 11' inflatable either in PVC or Hypalon. I would have to inflate/deflate everytime I would use it, I don't have enough room in my garage or even in font of my house to have it on a trailer.

I know they come with a manual pump but I would maybe buy a 12V electric pump to inflate it at my car and use the cigarette lighter plug. How long can it take to get it up with the original pump this is my question?

Re: Setting up time

Depends on the pump, but I wouldn't think any more than twenty minutes. What many do, myself included, is do the heavy lifting with a 12v pump and top if off the old fashioned way.

Or go for an electric pump in which you can regulate pressure output, always inflate all tube chambers evenly in circular motion, you can start at 0.5 psi with 0.5 increments untill you reach 3.0 psi on all tubes, then inflate keel. In 6 pressure adjustments will reach ideal working pressure.

Re: Setting up time

I used a Coleman Marine pump $40 on my 11 foot walker bay. I'd throw it on the ground, start inflating it, put on oars, seat motor etc. I'd top if off with my hand pump and be in the water in under 10 minutes. Make sure you pin the valves open with this type of pump or it won't blow up. I still use this pump on my 14 foot and its still the way to go. I wanted to buy one of those fancy Scorprega (sp?) pumps but read too many bad reviews.
