My question relates to a classic style shaft packing w/packing sleeve secured by two nuts w/locking nuts. I am looking at a 1986 48' Seamaster built by Chung Hwa. This particular shaft log has a cooling connection, and immediately aft of the cooling connection is a bolt that appears to be some sort of alignment tool. Has anyone seen this type of shaft log??
