Whats the correct shift shaft height on a 1993 short shaft V6?

Its a short shaft evinrude venom

Thanks....going over someone else's work on a used lower unit ...need to pull apart see What's up....

Not all driveshaft lengths are the same either.

Right...no it's a used lower unit that someone installed and its just is getting reverse and the cable is as the end of adjustment ..think the shift cradle is bent or broken because 21 15/16 is not working...going over some ill work by someone else

Just take it apart.----Post pictures of the parts.----I don't think a shift cradle can bend on these !

I got to gut it anyway check clutch dog and reverse and install a nose cone and do a seal kit
