In most of Louisiana and several other states as well Shell Oil Company distributed gas with high levels of sulfer in it. This caused the fuel guages in many vehicles to break due to the silver in the sending unit corroding from the sulfer. The press has indicated no potential damage to the vehicles engine however I have read brief articles describing possible shortening of engine life. MY CONCERN is if there are any possible short or long term adverse affects on my 2003 Mercury 3.0 Liter 200hp which has used plenty of the same gas. thanks for the help.
