shift cable guide snapped off in bell housing

I was replacing my gimbal boot and shift cable when the shift cable guide snapped off. I've tried pb blast and a easy outs but it just won't budge. It's only brass but seems unlikely I'd be able to carefully cut it out. Any idea's?

Thread is 1/4 inch pipe, get the correct drill and tap 1/4 x 18 NPST

You might also try running a drill bit through it that is big enough to remove most of the brass but not so big it will touch the aluminum threads.
You then might be able to work the remains out.
I'd try a very small chisel or awl to work the brass away from the aluminum threads.

Ditto above. 1/4-28 tap drill is 7/16". Verify with the few existing threads in the housing. The correct size drill will just touch the threads. You can "sneak up' by starting with smaller drills and finishing with the tap drill. Drill square/perpendicular to the housing face to avoid wandering into the aluminum.

The existing threads should start the tap as you chase out the remaining brass.

has been done many, many times with great results

perfect seal on threads when install new, will prevent this in the future

i heat the bellhousing around the broken fitting then use an easy out.
