Shift cable

I have a 2003 Bass Tracker model PT 185, 175 hp. This boat has a jet drive. I need a shift cable and I had no luct finding one. This seems to be kind of a rare model. I would appreciate any help finding this part. My boat has been laid up for 3 weeks. I am in northern maine and our fishing season is over in a month. Thanks for your help.

Normally cables match the engine. What brand of engine do you have?

The cable itself should have a number stamped on it on one end or the other, about a foot from the end. Might be teleflex brand. Check the cable for numbers carefully. Never had a problem matching them up myself.
