Okay, I was hoping that I wouldn't have to replace the cable after fixing the switch. Curious as to why it would do it in reverse and not forward? Maybe it has a mind of it's own
I probably won't be able to get to it for a few weeks

Reverse is the worst part of the cable. Eventually it will do it all the time fwd or rev.
