Just wondering if anyone has changed out a throttle lever, I had the original side mount for my evinrude xp 150 and i converted to a bombardier top mount. I have it installed and cables attached , problems though . I can put it in forward and the trans will engage to forward and the throttle will go full forward , but when i switch to reverse the lever will move to reverse but it will not engage the throttle for the carbs to open at all , doesn't matter how much pressure I put on it . Now I can push the button and overide putting it into gear and the throttle will work forward and reverse???? Some thing is up with the shift cable or the shift side of the shift/throttle lever??? Any ideas???
