Shifter/Throtle is very stiff to move.

Hello All,

I have a 2000 Crest Pontoon with a 2001 evinrude 2 stroke which runs out great, but the shifter/throtle is very stiff to move or alteast it is stiff IMO. Is this normal? it almost seems that there may be a cable twisted or something, but everything looks ok. Does it need lubed, cleaned.....? Any idea's?

cables do not like tight bends. also could be time for new ones. disconnect at motor and see if they move freely. most toons have 3 or 4 bends in the cables, making them stiff. cannot grease them.
