I am out of town and not near my House boat. I am curious if anyone knows what the thread size is on the throttle and gear levers are on the 1970's merc controls are. The black and red balls on mine are worn and I have been out touring and shopping here in Mexico Nd have an idea to replace them. But need to know the thread sizes first. Any help?

In case you need another Idea, You can get these...Fine (SAE) Thread Inserts
and screw them in or Drill the holes a bit bigger use Liquid Plastic Casting Resin to set them in place.
