Re: Should Carphunter stay?

Thank you everyone, Guess I will HAVE to stick around. ;)

Lakeman, I hail from the southern portion of the state,......... Corydon, Indiana, to be specific.

Djohns, good advice, I think I WILL avoid the "opinion" areas of this forum that get me worked up.

Not to worry Aspeck, I would be wearing my "speedos", just in case I dropped the cape. :D

Carp, I spent a couple of years around the Cannalton/Tell City area, about 30 years ago.

Re: Should Carphunter stay?

Hey Carp,

You should try living here on Long Island, NY.

Here, there is no hunting whatsoever, it's outlawed.

There is also no fishing in most lakes here.

It too is illegal.

They also severly limit the amount of fish you are allowed to catch in the ocean

Now the county has once again tryed to pass an anti-gun ban here, and is trying to confiscate all guns in the hands of it's private citizens.

They are sending the police to all known gun owners and demanding that they turn in their guns!

The county wants NO ONE to have guns, for any purpose, other than law-enforcement!

So why don't you come up here where your constitutional rights are violated everyday, and the speed limit is still 55 MPH, because the lawmakers don't want you to be able to travel at speeds that the rest of the country enjoys, because these elected officials don't drive, they are chauffered, and those chauffered vehicles are exempt from the traffic laws you and I must follow, and can travel at any speed, run red lights, and cut you off, all because they know that there is money to be made by keeping the limit at 55 MPH.

Maybe once you experience OPPRESSION first hand, you would have a better prospective of what is happening in this country.

Kenny

Lakeman, I am very familiar with the Tell City area. We still fish a few of the little lakes there. Lake Celina, Lake Indian and Lake Tipsaw. All very small lakes, less than 200 acres.

Kenny, move to Indiana. ;)

Yea carp,

Indiana sounds great, unfortunatly you don't have traffic there, like NY, and that's what I do for a living, traffic!

It is nice out there, haven't been there in 'bout 10 years or so, ever since the Indy Racing League ruined the Indy 500.

They need to change the sign at the speedway there that reads "Through These Gates Pass The Finest Drivers, Driving The Finest Cars In The World" to..." Through These Gates Pass The Most Obscur Drivers, Driving 15 Year Old Cars, So They Can Charge The Fans $500 To Watch "

Anyway, thanks for the offer.

Kenny

Re: Should Carphunter stay?

Kenny, you make a great point in one of your posts. My perspective is probably completely different from yours because of where I am from and where I was raised. Very good point. Makes a lot of sense.

I don't feel like I have been "oppressed" yet, anyway.

As I said before, I agree with about 95% of what you have been saying all along.

I live out in the "sticks" so I don't have to deal with traffic!!! :D Yes, I love living in Indiana, sometimes I feel shielded from the big world problems living here, which is nice.

I agree, the Brickyard is much bigger then the Indy 500 now, and that s*cks. I was a big Rick Mears fan.

Carp,

I'm glad here that OPPRESION has not found it's way to Indiana yet, but rest assured it's on it's way, it's just a matter of time.

Rick Mears was great, but I still have to go with Mario Andretti, with all that he accomplished...

Kenny
