should i replace the impeller housing?

i am going to replace the impeller on my 89 85hp force soon and was wondering if i should replace the housing with it? thanks.

That depends on its condition. Look for excessive wear and corrosion.

Only if it is corroded badly OR you have an extra 60 bucks that you want to throw away.

I had a pair of 88/85 hp on my boat and NEVER replaced the housings.But I NEVER ran aground or sucked up mud or sand.
If there isin't too much damage then No.J
