Well... I did make my own custom tie bar with heim joints. I even have twin throttles (ship masters). But I found it much simpler to just twist the tiller with each hand. In cruise mode. I just rest my left fore-arm on the starboard tiller and throttle the port with my right. (I always sit sideways anyway.. To turn just turn one or for a very shap turn, turn them both. lol.lol.. Nice hole shot with the extra blade area...lol.lol.. I have a nice little video but have no idea how to post it.

Arks, I don't know why but your boat is about the coolest one I've ever seen. By far my favorite. It's just something about it that I love. I love center console boats, and a tiny one with a 25, how cool is that!!

Thanks!
It's pretty basic- no floor or anything fancy, but I think it turned out really well and has a good profile, sort of 'CoastGuard-ish' if you know what I mean. :D

Maybe I should put a gun mount on the bow.

One thing I REALLY like about that setup is that even though it's only a 14 footer, I can stand up and run it. That grab bar and windshield make it easy- and SAFE!

some good stuff.. How mcuh was that VHF? looking into getting one. i like the voices and stuff :D ahaha

I was able to score a new IN THE BOX West Marine 'VHF55' for $59 after shipping. They are basic but 100% waterproof and have excellent reviews for the price. It sells for 100 bucks at the store.
I actually have 2 of 'em- keep one on each boat. It's nice that I can share the chargers.

How much hp? Have you experienced enhanced turning capability with one forward...one reverse?

Here's my 2000 16' Lund WC16. It's powered by 1997 Suzuki 15hp. This is a great boat and fishes three comfortably. I've taken it on the Puget Sound and gone crabbing as well.

16' is a great size boat. Small enough to tow with pretty much anything, light weight, yet big enough to spend the whole day on the water.

This (green one) is my old boat. 14 ft fiberglass. Bought for $1000 and sold for $800. Needed deck and transom, plus motor lower leaked at the seals. Great starter boat, but not a great boat.

Replaced it with a 1990 15 1/2 ft Lowe with a 40HP Evenrude VRO for $2500.00 Sorry, no pictures. It is under the snow right now.

Here's our 15' 1984 Whaler with the original Merc outboard. She is still the heart of our fleet and resides comfortably in our one car garage while our cars are subjected to the harsh New England winters :p.
