Shrink wrap vs. boat cover for winter?

Hello again everyone!

I am sadly getting ready to put my boat away (18' I/O bowrider) for a harsh Canadian winter. It will get stored outside and I am expecting plenty of ice and snow this winter (I guess no different from any other winter).

I would like to get some opinion on the benefit of getting the boat shrink wrapped vs. getting a cover such as Covermate Imperial and either building a support or buying a system like "Cover Up Boat Cover Support". I would prefer to just buy a cover and use it every year.

Thanks!

It slides off of shrink wrap, covers not so much.

Nothing beats shrink wrap for our winters. Boats covers get beat to hell on the praires during the winter. If you can afford it, wrap it.
