Single control trim switch

anyone know the best thing to do to replace the trim switch in a side mount single control?<br />Its a black control with the small thumb switch..<br />The only thing i can find is a M on the control.<br />Have searched Iboats and only find a steering wheel mounted switch..<br />Does this mean i have to buy a whole new control?

No -- you have to determine who manufactured the control. Go to them for replacements.

Have you had the control apart yet? Are you sure the switch is bad? I had what I think were your symptoms (up didn't work had to use the Trailer button) and it was simply a loose wire on the switch, not the switch itself . . .

I took the switch apart,the contacts on the down side were broken.<br />i couldn't find a brand name on the control.<br />I hooked up a 3 way toggle and the trim works fine.(temporary fix)..<br />I found a steering wheel mount switch on Iboats..<br />Anyone tried these..<br />Thanks Up@QC....
