Went out to the lake this weekend and boat wouldn't start. Had is started in the driveway the week before. Troubleshooting and reading through the forums tells me I have a connectivity issues, battery, starter or solenoid problem.

Symptoms: Boat turns over with single crank each time. Sometimes it grinds after the single crank sometimes it spins. I have checked and tightened and cleaned all the connections. Today was able to start it but once again only on a single crank. If it catches great but I can still tell there some type of power starter issue. What is the best way to tell where I am failing. Can I test the connections with multi-meter or something?

Any other ideas what could be happening? Thanks David

You should repost in the I/O section. Sounds like a timing issue, but I am not sure what you mean by "single crank". You might define it better.

Not sure why it would be a timing issue, it started yesterday and ran great. Not sure another way to say single crank. Dictionary defines crank below. So one revolution(crank) then the starter spins or grinds.
