You could always replace the bunks with rollers, if you find a good tilt bunk. But that could get expensive.

I looked at that option also and yeah in a hurry. Though I do see them showing up on graislist every once and awhile.

I've even thought about finding another trailer to put under the Lund but I think my brother would get mad as he's already made me an offer on the Lund.

Re: Sizing a new used trailer.

on my 28'er I was having HELL loading it on the very steep ramp I put a single bunk slider on each side right before where the carpet was showing heavy wear.... the first time I loaded it I took it really easy so I thought and hit the winch tower so hard I was sure something would be broken.... those and spray silicone on the carpet make a huge difference.... IE if bunks are 100% effort and rollers are 5% then the bunks with sliders or silicone are 5-10%...... to the point that the boat can easily slide off of the trailer if you try to unstrap before backing down the ramp

I too wondered if your current trailer's rollers would tilt enough to allow the shallow loading... tho that wouldn't help w the garage issue.

Re: Sizing a new used trailer.

Thanks to everyone for the input. Alot of very good ideas and suggestions which no doubt always brings up more questions. The good thing is that I've got a lot of time to work this out. I will no doubt find the right right trailer in time just need to have patience.

I haven't had the chance to try and launch or retieve off this trailer yet so yes that is still an uncertainty as to whether it will work on this shallow of a ramp. From what I can tell it doesn't look as if these roller bunks will tilt very far.

I guess the point of this whole question is that I am not afraid to drive a few hours to obtain a nice trailer. It's just that when and if I do I don't want to get there to only find it wont fit the way I'd like and have spent the time on a useless trip. Though talking this through with everyone I think I have a much better picture in my mind as to what I'm looking for.
