Skeg gone- now what

I hait a rock and it completely took off the skeg- not enough left to attach a skeggard- no damage to lower unit- what are my best options? Can a skeg be welded on?<br /><br />Who else has gone through this!<br /><br />Thanks

I had one replaced at my local prop shop. When they were done it looked like it had always been there. Great job!

BTW, you will have to remove the lower unit and take it to them.

What was the cost- I was told it would be around $100-$120 locally.
