slow computer

Is it me or is iboats slow? Other place I go are quick, but this one makes me feel like I have dial up.

Seems a little slow to load for me as well, but not as bad as it was after the upgrade.

Yes the initial page load is slow then it speeds up once you are on.

Are you guys going to the forum homepage and logging in every time you visit?

The web accelerators don't work on secure pages like https login pages. Well, at least mine doesn't, so login is slow.

Try logging in, then going to Dockchat or whatever forum you like, and bookmarking it, or make it your homepage. Then click on that bookmark when you get online and you will jump right to the forum, bypassing the login. Seems much faster for me.

Also get rid of internet explorer and use Firefox instead. Firefox runs about 10 times faster for iboats then IE does.

I find that using Mozilla for a browser is faster thas IE.

I tried FireFox...does seem a little faster..The boards do seem to get a little better than they were a few weeks ago.

I like getting on in the morning. Seems to run a lot faster than later in the day. Don't know if it is just my imagination or if it is actually happening.
