Slow crank on initial start up

I have a Evinrude 1992 115hp. On the initial start up it labors to turn the motor over but eventually does and I can get the motor started. There's no problem the rest of the day turning the motor over. It's been doing this for some time. Was wondering if anybody else has had this issue.

try turning it by hand before hitting the starter. Eliminate the electrical components. Almost all outboards have manual starting notches.

If it's stiff to turn but loosens up, then it's a needle bearing issue most likely.

Thanks for the reply. Hard to turn manually so I'm thinking it's not the starter. What needle bearings are you referring to?

Crankshaft has needle bearings.----Rods have needle bearings.----Lower unit has needle bearings.-----Water on them when motor sits for a week or more is BAD thing.
