Re: So I took my boat in to get fixed...
My Father took his boat down to the end of our lake to store for the winter. We had a roller trailer and a canvas cover that would hang right to the ground. We would clean the boat from top to bottom so that when we picked up the boat in the spring it was ready to go. One year when stopped by to pick up the boat the owner pulled it out of storage on a single axel bunk type trailer with no tarp. The boat was covered in mud and was a mess. We asked about the trailer and tarp and the owner just shrugged his shoulders and said he sold them….. It turned out he was terminal and was not long for the next life and as such was just getting as much cash as he could to make the remainder of his life comfortable. As things happen in life it turned out he was misdiagnosed and was not going to die and had to make restitution. That was 25 years ago, both boat and Father have since passed on.
