There is a lot more to look at than price. Its just not as simple as something being the same product all the time. I deal with this on a daily basis, and sometimes the product may be the same, but the seller isn't an authorized retailer and thus the product contains no warranty. If company A is selling it as an authorized retailer, why should they price match something that doesn't have a warranty from company B....especially if they will end up working with the customer for warranty work should something go wrong.

I was told by my certified Volvo Penta mechanic that the Volvo pumps can't be rebuilt and that the aftermarket (Chinese)pumps aren't worth the materials that they are made out of.

I think it's ready to be closed, not run into the ground and discussed ad nauseam w/ hundreds of replies.

SkyMech's post has been addressed. Brad has commented repeatedly, so he is watching for user comments, Topics & posts. Having it bumped back to the top isn't going to be helpful to anyone who reads this Topic or iboats.

But that's ^^^ just MY opinion, I'm only a user of this free forum the iboat's retail store provides.
