Ok I bought a bass boat 1984 champion on trailer with outboard 1500.00 didn't think was a bad deal. Runs great! Till I noticed milky oil coming from the lower unit. Took to shop cost me 100.00 buck to tune carbs and have them tell me there was water in the lower unit! Duh! I am still draining and refilling lower unit so that I can run boat on the weekends for a few hours(not the wisest thing) but still. The outboard top ends at 4100 rpms, so for my first question is it over propped, I have been noticing loss of power when running at top end for a lenthy period of time, which I assume is because of the water getting in lower unit! The main question I have is Where Do I Find a Compatible Lower Unit for this, I can't find anything dated for a 1984 dt115.
