Someone please help!!- regulator problems

Hello, I have a Force 120 HP OB engine. The powerhead was recently replaced and the voltage regulator keeps burning up after 20 mins of use after the motor is turned off. I have tried the following: replaced stator, powerpack, and replaced the regulator now 5 times. Each time I thought I had found the problem, but unfortunately I have not, so please help!!!!!<br /><br />By the way check also checked grounds.

Not quite sure what you mean.<br />You use the motor for 20 minutes, then turn it off, then your regulator goes bad?<br /><br />What year is this motor?<br /><br />Ok, found some of your other posts.<br /><br />Fire huh? Not good.<br />Rgulator should have 2 yellow wires going in. <br />A grey wire coming out, to the tach.<br />And a red wire to the battery.<br /><br />How many batteries do you have on this boat?<br />Are they connected in any way?<br />Are you using a multiple battery switch? (1-2-both-off)<br />Have you used any aftermarket parts or are they all from Merc?<br /><br />Post year of motor and part numbers of those you have replaced.
