Re: Span America - Please Help

oh hell.... those were two bottom feeders and someone who actually liked it.... assuming that the hull was sound and not rotted out, I see no problem at all with taking 1800.... BUT it's not an offer you would get every day... Heck I figured it was gonna be more like 10k or something... people really go overboard spending money on old boats sometimes.

I know I said I had a soul and didn't want to take advantage but I think I would have taken 10k on the spot. Where are these 10k people, lol?? Thats why I didn't want to scrap it in the first place, hull is good other than pitting. If anyone wants a stripped hull, I'm in AZ.

I need some serious help. I own a Span America. Year/model unknown. My dilemma is that I'm selling it and I have no idea of the value. I have had three offers. Two were really low but last was rediculoslly high. I don't want to give it away but I don't want to sell it for more than its worth (I like to sleep at night). I want a fair price but I don't want to screw anyone in the process. Best I can tell it's 60's but with all of the research I've done, I can't find this model anywhere. I almost took the boat to the dump to modify the trailer but there are no cracks, all of the gauges are good and everything seems to be intact other than the windshield and deck. I'd hate to throw away the spedo or tach that a guys been trying to find for 15 years to complete his project. I'm NOT pandering my wares here, I'm simply looking (and praying) for some knowledge or direction. Does anybody read the rules these days when they sign up? This thread is almost 3 years old, no posting to any thread over 90 days unless you are the original poster, come on guys, I have never seen it so bad as I have this spring! The guy that started this thread has not visited the forums since Dec. 2012!

Hi there Ryanburgess, welcome to iboats.

Sorry but these type of question aren't permitted on open forums. For these type of questions it's best to just try sending the member a private message vs posting to an topic that is over 90 days old such as this topic was. Please have a peek in iboats Forum Rules... Thank you, iboats mod team.:)
