Re: Spare prop - % carrying one?
Last season I was moving right along to my favorite fishing spot and the motor started to rev more and my speed started to drop. After a few minutes the boat was at a stand still....So I lifted the motor out of the water to look at the prop. To my surprise there was not a single nick on the prop, but it was spun! I don't know what caused it(many years of use and abuse?) But at that given time I am sure I did not hit anything. After that day I always have a spare with me. I lost an entire day of fishing because I was too cheep to get a spare, and my wife was with me to top it off !!! I can go out for weeks on end with friends with no problem, but as soon as the wife gets on the boat it's instant trouble every time!
