i have a jap mariner 28e ser #664-L59374. from the info i got from these pages it appears to be a '79 model. could someone kindly confirm this and possibly let me know if any parts from other mariner/merc engines are interchangeable. i believe that the prop can be used from various merc 25 engines but it would be comforting to know what options i have when the time comes for ignition parts and gaskets etc. is this model elctronic ignition or is it the dreaded magneto type? thanking you all in advance guys.
