Just wondering the merit of surface gap plugs? I have been told that they are only designed for sustained high speed operation, any amount of idling and they are useless. What plugs work best in this motor?

Was that UL77V or QL77V. My understanding is that the Q is a resistor type plug.

That is listed as ul77v you are right on about the Q being a resistor type plug.

You can also use the standard (Q)L77JC4's.

Thanks, It's probably advisable to stick with the resistor type plug? Any preference between the surface gap QUL77V and the standard QL77JC4?

The std type, QL77JC4 will Idle a bit better, but if most of your time is spent at cruise or high-end, the surface gap is great.
