I recently replaced the plugs, wire and coils on a mid 50's Johnson, 15hp. I also cleaned out the carb and the compression is real good but I can't get the motor to start. I do have have good spark on both plugs. Does it matter what coil goes to what plug? I may have mixed the two up when I did this work.

Thanks

yes it does. it throw your timing off 180 degrees. my manual says: timing fixture pointer legs are marked "T" and "B" to indicate top and bottom cylinders.

Both set's of point's are set at .020. Simply reverse the plug lead's, and see if it will start.
