spark plugs recomended for 72 Evenrude 25hp

What type of plugs do I need for a 1972, 25hp Evinrude outboard? I have the Champion J8c in it now but takes atleast 8 cranks to start, and some minor adjusting to the plugs. Am I using the wrong plug? What plug type/brand should I be using?? Please Advise..Thanks Brad

BBMAXX,The correct sparkplug for your engine is Champion J4C gapped at .030".

ob is right . make sure the chock is fulley closed when it is pulled .papasage
