speical tool for bell h pin

hi guys; made it back from powell and had a good time. one of the things i found that i wanted to fix is the trim gauge sending unit. i got a new one but it's differnt than the one on there. it says to pull bell housing and shows a speical tool to remove pin. when i was at the lake i took the old unit off and it could have been changed by changing wires from old to new. it looked like under the unit there is a bolt head that the s unit slips over. after i remove the bolt is there any puller or other way to remove the pin? am i stuck waiting on the speical tool to come?


i need to learn to use the right words to use when i do a search. couldnt find in search and as soon as i posted found answer in similar threads. feel free to answer any way and thank for help!

Ayuh,........

Once you burn out the Loc-tite with some Heat,.....
Hit'em with some Good oil, like PB Blaster or something,.....
A 1/2" Allen Wrench will turn'em Out......
