Spider crack on deck.

I have an '84 Regal. The deck has spider cracks just about all around it on the flat top surfaces.

My thoughts are to sand it enough to give it some teeth and apply a truck bed treatment such as Duplicolor. I can get a color to either match or accent the light tan the boat is. My thought is this will cover the cracks and provide a non slip surface.

My question is will the treatment allow enough "movement" so as not to crack?

Does any one have any experience doing this?

Thanks for your time.

Re: Spider crack on deck.

You need to use a very flexible product to help prevent cracking and if I remember correctly the duplicolor product is somewhat hard and stiff. Find a soft product to use.
