One of the Carvers in our marina has a spiral staircase from the transom to the aft deck. Apparently Carver only made these for a couple of years, as an option.
Yes, I have tried and they have no information other than sending me an old brochure. All the drawings etc, are gone if it was in fact made by Carver. The person I spoke with thinks it was a third party but can't tell me who.
The can also be made. As much as I hate for you to go to another forum (please forgive me all...), check out Home and search for Carver stairs. There is a gret thread of a man that built a custom set of fiberglass stairs and a swim platform for an aft cabin Carver. He does beautiful work.
