Hi, all. Great forum.
Here's my question: My 1994 sport jet 90 motor was running REALLY bad. Compression test showed zero compression in #2 cylinder. Pulled motor, removed head, and discovered a blown head gasket around #2 cylinder. No other apparent damage. Here's my question:
I can't seem to find a spec for a tolerable amount of warpage in the cylinder head. I don't want to throw another gasket on, only to have it blow again. Incidentally, I'm measuring .009" of warpage on the head.
Is this within tolerance for this motor? If not, how much can a machine shop safely cut off of this head? Thanks!
