Hello, I have a '56 Evinrude 3hp "lightwin" that I run about 8-10 gallons of gas(less than 5% ethonol) a year through. I mix in Sea Foam and red Stabil in each gallon. I saw the Marine Stabil and thought I'd switch, but at cost twice as much and it will go bad after two year before I even use 25% of it. Is it something I really need to use or will the Sea Foam and Stabil "red" work just fine ? -Thanks

Save your money........ red stabil and sea foam work fine. I suspect the marine has a few additives which are minor but major in cost.

I will admit that I use startron in my lawnmower and chainsaw gas tanks. I had ripped a carb apart on a neglected mower I was given and the inside of that carb scared me into the decision.....yuck

I still use the old "red" Stabil in all my motors...not real sure the new "marine" Stabil worth the extra cost....so far, so good!
