I have a 1984 Volvo 4.3L and it's a PITA to have to replace the oil pan (twice) in the last 8 years. The boat is used in the ocean 100% of the time and we do a fresh water rinse and Salt-X after every trip, but it still develops pin holes over the years.

Is there a stainless steel oil pan in the market place and if so, where can I get one?

Or is there another method to prevent the rusting?

Oh, in my boat (1984 22' Marathon walkaround cuddy), I have to lift the motor to get to the oil pan due to tight clearance issues.

I've never seen, nor heard of a SSteel oil pan...
Keepin' it Painted, with say Rustoleum helps prolong it's life..

You could always send it to someplace like Jet Hot coatings and have it coated. (google them) Probably someplace near your area that does that ceramic style coat, wont be real cheap but probably wont break the bank either.
