Stainless Steel Versus Aluminum Impellers?

The differences between Stainless and Aluminum are well known on traditional outboard boat engines. But how about on Jet Skis? I have a 1994 Seadoo SP and wonder if I should ever consider stainless if I were to replace the original impeller. Thoughts? Does it handle differently? Speed difference?

I don't see much performance gains/losses, but an aluminum can take an impact and better chance of not breaking things. The biggest problems I've seen is the composite housings. The composites flex and create were, the aluminum doesn't
