I put Rihno liner on the keel of a fiberglass 16' boat about 8"s on either side of the keel, and too within 4' of the stern and it made it porpoise at 7mph less than before and took 3mph off the top speed.

I wouldn't do it. It adds weight and drag to the boat.

the weight wouldn't be a big deal. drag I'm not so sure about I think you can get it where its not bumpy. what I'm thinking it for is the strength I am going to be adding a lot of weight and power to the boat and I'm not sure how the transom will handle it. also it would completely seal the hull forever would that be good or bad?

Wow, thats a pretty awesome rig you have there! I really like the idea that imuss has . Have you ever checked out North River boats? My buddy has one and the back of it is extended kinda like that. Ill see if i can find a similiar pic.

Brad,

I have the same boat (same name!) and am in the process of a total restore. Call Armstrong in FL. They built a bracket for me last year that is already on my boat. I plan on putting a 200/225 Honda on the boat.

Shoot me an email and I can send you the specs on the build and on the transom we put it. I plan on posting a complete rebuild thread on this site when she is done and in the water.
