Hello,
I'm new to the site. Looks like a great resource. I tried searching for answers to my questions but couldn't fine any.

I'm rebuilding an 85 StarCraft, starting with the floor. The 2 questions I have are:
1. Do i need marine grade plywood or can I use standard ply and seal it with primer or Spar varnish?
2. So I need to use rivets to fasten the new floor to the ribs or are there screws that would work?

Thanks y'all.
Chris

I replaced the plywood floor in our Sea Nympth last year with marine grade plywood and used Stainless steel screws in lieu of rivets, worked fine. I have read, if you use treated plywood, you should separate it from coming in contact with the aluminum.

Don't use pressure treated wood period. Modern PT has copper in it and, a little chemistry will tell you what dissimilar metals do to eachother..

ACX,BCX, or even prime sheets of CDX will be just fine. and stainless screws can work just fine
