Heck, Bob - For 300 clams or less, snap her up and pay for a storage lot until you close on the homestead. Let's see 8 acres, leave 1 acre for the house and a nice sized yard. 7 acres @ 20 tinnies per acre with lots of work room = you will be on Hoarders.

Congrats on the country house. :D

Wait, have you walked the whole 8acres?

Are you sure this boat isn't already ON your pending property purchase:
I WANT IT OUT ASAP FIRST COME FIRST SERVE CASH AND GET IT OFF PROPERTY!!!
$300 for a running 18ft's, trumps my $250 18ft'r.....

Good luck w/ the house & 8acres..... You'll need a pole barn & a mule though...... :watermelon:

ha, its got a barn of some type....but there isnt a door big enough to allow a boat in!! and it isnt finnished...I think he used to keep dogs in it. there is a 1957 Buick Super on the property out in the yard, and it has a 1966 Buick Wildcat COMPLETELY engulfed in a briar patch...so much so , that from 6 feet away you still cant see the car!! ha ha but a full basement with a garage door.....so i can drive the truck and trailer in together ha ha......needs a lot of work and the bank is owed more than my offer...so its a short sale....

fingers crossed....if i get it... Ill end up with many boats!! ha ha only 2 neighbors with woods blocking them. so i wouldnt be the redneck with a junk yard out back!!

A couple of old Buicks can get some good boat buying money. Have you seen what the Fast N Loud guys pay for total junk?

If it's been on the market for a while and needing work, you might get a counter. If you do, that's a good sign. Good luck and keep scoping tinnies to fill the open spaces in the briar patch.

I'm that redneck

Shortsales are good times... my wife and I had lots of ups and downs, remember it's not an actual "contract" until money actually changes hands.
Until then it's just a fancy piece of paper that people signed...
Once you put that 1k down, then you can get excited, but not before.

cool boat indeed! $1250 cool though? :noidea: 57 Feathercraft

I saw the same model boat for sale on craigslist earlier this summer for $400.... i thought it would make a neat duck hunting boat
Should have bought it at $400.

Depending on the model & how much 'remodeling' the past owners have made to it, and it's condition, $1250 on a rolling vintage trailer (also depending on condition) is not really out of line for a 1957 Feather Craft. Particularly if it's an early 'mini' under 13ft in length.

Bob: It certainly shouldn't be 'converted' into a duck hunting skiff, IMHO. Sorry Bob. Used w/ no significant changes, sure.

Cool: There wasn't any bong involved, as noted above, $1250 isn't really out of line.
