i am looking in the used market and have come across two boats that i a) can afford and b) want.
the first is a starcraft, a 14' with a 15hp mercury longshaft electric start and electric choke 2001 motor. boat has a wheel and a console. it needs new plywood seat covers as they're warped and its not too pretty cosmetically. i can get it for $1150 including a trailer which will need to be repainted and rust treated.
the second is a g3 boat (generation 3) the boat itself is very pretty cosmetically having just been repainted by the guy. it comes with a bunch of extras (life jackets, radio, etc) the motor is a 1991 9.9 johnson converted to a 15hp by a marina. trailer has a wheel jack, spare wheel and is galvanized.
i can get it for $1000
im leaning towards the starcraft because i can use it on the bay and river and its heavier duty. im not sure though. both boats a 14' long.
