starter engages by itself after motor is shut off

When i get to launch, i start boat, goto my fishing spot, turn off boat, anchor and then in about 2 minutes or so boat will start to crank with key in the off position. I can turn the key and motor will shut-off.Another min or 2 motor will crank, turn key other way it shuts off. once in a while starter will try to engage while motor is already on.
Any help would be so wonderful. Thank you. This is first time I have posted.

sounds like you might need a new key switch
fix it immediately. A starter engaging a running engine is a fire hazard.
